A Romantic Getaway in the Berkshires

After long days full of work activities and other important things to get done, it can be hard to stay fully in touch with your loved one. Once you and your loved one finally have time in your busy schedules for a weekend to spend together, it is only necessary to book that weekend for a romantic getaway with just the two of you. If you plan on spending your romantic getaway weekend in the Berkshires, here is a weekend itinerary for your romantic getaway.

Day 1 (Friday) – Arrive in the Berkshires and have a romantic dinner

On the first day of arriving to your romantic getaway, you should check in to wherever you will be staying for the weekend. After settling into your place for the weekend, depending on the time, it might be time to have a romantic dinner with your lover. A romantic restaurant in the Berkshires is Chez Nous, which offers freshly cooked French dishes including pasta.

Day 2 (Saturday) – Spa day, visit wineries or breweries, catch a show in the evening

Start your morning off in a relaxed way with a spa day spent with your loved one. A popular spa in the Berkshire area is the Elle Day Spa. They offer many different services such as massages, facials, manicures, and pedicures. At this spa, they allow you to create your own package of four treatments at a discounted price. After a relaxed spa morning, hit a winery or brewery for a fun day of taste testing the local flavors with your lover. After a day full of activities, go see a theatrical or musical performance at a local theater to wrap up the night. Day 3 (Sunday) – Shopping, museum visit, and head home in the evening

Your last day in the Berkshires gives you the ability to be a tourist in a new area. There are plenty of places to shop in the Berkshires including outlet malls. Another tourist thing to do in the Berkshires is to go to a museum or an art museum. A popular art museum to visit would be the Clark Art Museum. They offer art in various ways through paintings, sculptures, and performances. This is a great way to spend time doing activities with your loved one that you might not be able to do all the time on a regular weekend.

Feel free to swap out ideas on this itenerary to better fit what you both like to do as a couple. Some couples are more adventurous and would rather be on their feet the entire weekend. In that case if that is you, I would suggest hiking or water rafting in the Berkshires as an alternative activity.
