Ripley’s Aquarium: An Unexpected Experience

So, when on vacation at Myrtle Beach, we all know how “beach life goes”. Having spent three days at the beach, you’ve soaked up some sun and you’ve probably got a painful burn by now. You know you need to change up the pace and get out of those scorching rays. The water may have been refreshing, but perhaps you’re leery of encountering the wildlife that dwells there. The best place for you right now is Ripley’s Aquarium: away from the sun in air conditioning, in a safe environment… surrounded by beautiful creatures of the ocean. Many visitors aren’t aware of this, but there are a wide range of activities that are centered around the ocean life present there!

For example, you can attend the aquarium ready for a celebration! You can book Birthday parties, catered events and even weddings and receptions! If your child loves marine life, Ripley’s is the place for the celebration! The party includes cake, punch, a dive show, goodie bags and the choice of three themes! Catered events can be held for anywhere between 40 to up to 1,000 guests! Experienced event planners take care of everything for you while you enjoy exquisite food from the in house chef. Some examples of catered events include business meetings, holiday parties, Anniversaries, Weddings, retirement parties, Bar Mitzvahs and fun Birthday parties for adults!

The aquariums also hosts what they call “special experiences”. One of these experiences that are great for kids is Sleep with the Sharks. Up to 100 guests are permitted to stay the night, sleeping just under the tanks that hold some of the most fearsome sharks in the sea. The night begins with a scavenger hunt and ends with a late-night snack. Another popular activity is Swim with the Stingrays. With supervision, brave divers are given a memorable experience of touch and feel as they interact with the stingrays.
