Best Places To Grab Brunch In Gulf Shores

If it’s the morning after a night out or a typical morning on your Gulf Shores vacation, you’re probably looking for a brunch place to curb your hunger for your day at the beach. Gulf Shores has several places with classic breakfast food that’s perfect for a morning brunch. Take your pick of these places all in Gulf Shores, or whatever is closest to your Sunset Properties vacation rental.

Gulf Shores Diner ($)
The GS Diner is just what we all look for in a great diner with a 10-page menu and a well seasoned grill. Specialties of the house include Chicken-Fried Steak or a Breakfast Combo. One special feature, unique to a traditional diner, is the outdoor seating. The Diner also features a Seniors Menu, free Wifi, and Take-out. Serving Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, 6 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Duck’s Coastal Kitchen ($-$$)
For those seeking “lighter” fare, Duck’s Coastal Kitchen offers brunch dishes like grit cake and shrimp as well as your choice of six salads and a “single pancake”. The Daily Special is several different combinations of meat and a vegetable. All of the standard fare is here too. The environment is fun and kid-friendly.  Open Daily 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Island Pancake House ($$)
Let’s face it, doesn’t that name just sound good? Island and Pancake are rarely paired together, but it is the perfect name for a restaurant serving numerous flavors of pancakes overlooking a gorgeous beach view. The Cheesecake Pancakes are a particular highlight as well as the Waffles. Open Daily serving Breakfast and Lunch, from 6 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Brick and Spoon ($$-$$$)
Recently voted one of the “Top Ten Breakfasts in the US,” by Travel & Leisure Magazine, Brick and Spoon is not just one of the best brunches in Gulf Shores, but one of the best restaurants, especially given the value and pricing. For starters, they feature a Bloody Mary menu, where guests can check boxes of various ingredients for a personalized order of brunch’s favorite drink. You should start there, since you will need plenty of time to scour the menu and try to decide. A good strategy is ordering several dishes and splitting with a group, since even the breakfast menu includes starters, features, and sweets. Brick and Spoon also serves lunch. Open Daily 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.
