The Magic of Disneyland in the Winter

Disneyland is known as one of the happiest places on the planet, filled with magic and excitement for people of all ages. The characters, rides, lights and beauty of the park make this place a dream to keep coming back to. Whether you choose to visit the park in the winter or summer, you are bound to have a wonderful experience, but there are definitely differences depending on what season you go in. Summer is the typical time for vacations, but there are definitely some advantages to seeing this magical place during the winter months.

The Lights

While the holiday season may attract many visitors, it does so for good reason. The lights that dazzle the walkways and castle are breathtaking. Celebrating the holidays with your favorite characters will be one you and your children will remember forever. The winter also allows you more time to see these spectacular lights. With the sunset being earlier in the day, you are given more times to enjoy the park at night, admiring the lights throughout the park. This is especially nice if you have children who can’t stay out too late. They can see the magic of the park at night and still get to bed at a decent time for more days of fun ahead of them.

Fewer People

Unless you are going during the holiday season, the park can definitely be less crowded in the winter. If you don’t have a child in school, try going to the park a week that school is in session. This cuts down on lines significantly, allowing you to enjoy more of the park without all of the lines. There is also a greater chance for less-than-perfect weather in the winter. If you visit the park on a day that is drizzling, it will be much less busy. Bring a poncho and tough it out through the rain to miss some of the crowds on other days!

The Perfect Temperature

The summer months can be hot and humid, making walking around a park all day tiring and unpleasant at times. In the winter, the clouds and cooler temperatures make the park more enjoyable. You may not have the bright blue sky in all of your pictures, but you will have a more enjoyable time walking around. If you are from a northern state, this cooler temperature to you will still feel like a tropical vacation compared with the frigid winters!

Disneyland is a magical place for people of all ages! Come enjoy the park and experience the happiness that it brings to everyone who enters!
