Breweries To Visit In The Laurel Highlands

The Laurel Highlands is a mountain town in Pennsylvania with a lot of exciting attractions, including breweries. Visit these five breweries during your next vacation to the area.

Bloom Brew
Bloom Brew is located in West Newton on the banks of the Youghiogheny River. It is a small, family owned brewery that is easy to get to from the GAP bike trail. They have 24 different beers on tap, and they offer everything from free samples to growlers you can take with you. It is the perfect spot to grab a beer and enjoy lunch from a local eatery on the picnic benches overlooking the river.

Four Seasons Brewing Company
You can find the Four Seasons Brewing Company in Latrobe. It is one of the city’s newest microbreweries with 12 taps and live music on the weekends. It’s the perfect place to get a growler and enjoy locally made Pennsylvania wine. This is the closest brewery to the popular local accommodations, Oak Lodge.

Fury Brewing Company
The Fury Brewing Company of North Huntingdon is truly a local brewery. It is locally owned, uses all locally sourced ingredients, and is a favorite among the locals. It was newly opened in 2017, and you’ll find it on Route 30 East in Irwin. They put their focus on brewing in small batches. This allows them to consistently have a fresh selection of beers on tap.

Rivertowne Brewing
Rivertowne Brewing is located in Export which is only a 15-minute drive east of Monroeville. The tap room has six packs, pints, kegs, and cases available along with retail items and food. It’s the perfect spot to grab a bite to eat and a beer, hang out, and watch the game. A covered patio is available and they have enough space to accommodate large groups. Visitors can take a tour of the brewery during select times.

Whitehorse Brewing
Whitehorse Brewing is found on the edge of Somerset County and the Brothers Valley Farms in Berlin. It takes its name from the nearby mountain. All beers are naturally made with yeast, water, hops, and barley. Seasonal beers feature flavors like maple sugar and wildflower honey. Everything they produce is created with the environment in mind. Being environmentally conscious and sustainable allows them to brew their beers without damaging the beauty around them.
